Rated 3 out of 5 by R B McCartney8872 from Not for the novice I bought a lucky bag and was pleased with the spread in value of resistors ~ and the value of the purchase. However, all the resistors in it are five coloured banded ones, but the instructions for working out resistance included with the kit are for four band resistors. A bit confusing for the novice, I think. OK for an old-stager like me! Might just be a one-off, but if not, then this is something to be addressed. It's impossible to work out the value from the instructions enclosed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Steve9758 from Confusing! Unlike the other reviewer, I AM a novice and the fact that the instructions do not match the type of resistor is confusing. Thankfully the internet is at hand to help, but the bands are very small and hard to see, making determining the colour of the bands quite tricky. Good value though, and a good range of resistors, but next time I'll buy the 480 pack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Peter Jay from I wasn't so lucky... I wasn't very 'lucky' with the bag I bought a few years ago; I got a weird lot of values like 9.53Ω and 57.6kΩ. Like the other reviewers I found it hard to work out the values from the slip included and had to use a multimeter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chris from Do Not Buy! 5 band resistors, with instructions for 4 Didn't have the common value I wanted in 200 resistors - those I checked seemed to be fairly odd values (although checking was not easy) States "random selection" online, but not in the shop - so you would think, you;d get a 10k in 200 resistors!

i am working on a project restoring my 30 year old technique 1200 turntables, i would like to replace all the lights with 5 mm LED lights but i'm not sure about what kinds of resistor i would need, can you give me some kind of info please !
Unfortunately, the use of the item is down to the person or persons undertaking the repair. I would not be able to advise.
