From batteries to propellers, there is something different behind every window and a step by step building guide with illustrations shows how to assemble all the different pieces to get the finished model.
What is the Revell Control Quadcopter?
The Revell Control Quadcopter is a fully functional drone with two speed settings, a 360-degree flip function, and Revell’s unique Headless mode. Its sturdy construction provides improved crash resistance, and it comes complete with powerful engines and a six-axis-gyroscope. The drone’s lithium-polymer battery charges via a USB connection, and will provide five to seven minutes of flight time from just a 60-minute charge. A bright, built-in LED means that you can see your copter even when flying in low light. The four channel, 2.4GHz transmitter provides total control whilst being interference free. It requires four AA batteries, and these are included in the advent calendar. Featuring a 30 metre range and designed for indoor and outdoor use, the Revell Control Quadcopter is a fantastic drone for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
What is the Revell Headless mode?
Headless mode is designed to support beginners in the initial stages of flight control. It allows you to control the drone as you look at it. An example of this would be, if the quadcopter was flying away from you, in either mode, the left motion would steer the drone left and the right would steer right, however if the quadcopter was flying towards you in standard mode, you would need to reverse those controls. This can make things complicated if you are just getting to grips with controlling your drone. By activating Headless mode, an internal processor will automatically convert the control directions, meaning that the drone will always steer left when you use the left motion on the transmitter, regardless of whether the drone is flying towards you or away from you.
