A RJ11 to RJ11 cable which is suitable for use as a replacement cable for modems requiring a pin to pin connection.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A previous review related this product to WiFi Range, it's highly unlikely that the reduction observed was due to a cable. The RJ11 cable is located on the telephone side of the Ethernet router and modem. The WiFi interface sits on the other side of the router, completely different driver circuits. This product could be responsible for a data rate reduction, but it couldn't influence the strength of the carrier signal which would impact the range of the WiFi signal. I would advise the previous user to check he hasn't knocked the antenna socket, check the antenna is tight in the socket and pointed up. Make sure the new location of the router if moved is not now blocked in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Massively overpriced Shame on you Maplin Went into a store to buy this item and couldn't believe the price this can be found easily for a couple of quid. Also needed a 15m ethernet cable they wanted £22. Safe to say i went else where and got both for a tenner.

Hi Have I got the correct cable, I cannot see the image well enough. What I want is a longer cable to the normal landline phone, so on one end the conection that goes in the wall with a side clip. The other end the phone end with a bottom / top clip.

Asked by: Neal
No, that would be the top clip style connection (RJ11) on both ends, the cable you require would be the following (also available in 6m and 10m lengths) http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/bt-to-us-extension-cable-3m-bd00a

Unfortunately I don't believe that cable would be suitable, you would need something more like this. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/high-speed-adsl-modem-cable-5m-a93cg
