Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent enough crimp tool. Made if 10 connectors today and all worked fine. Prefer a rachet and auto release but does the job, just never quite sure if you've pressed hard enough, but I obviously did.

Can you please confirm whether the frame of the crimper is steel or ABS as stated by a previous reviewer

Asked by: Marjon
It appears to be plastic, unless the metal frame is buried in the plastic but cant see one. but still seems very sturdy. hope this helps

Why are there no instructions?

Asked by: Mart
The item is regarded as a specific usage tool, to whit someone who needs a crimp tool would want it for the specific task of crimping cables and connectors and would have knowledge of the general usage thereof. In much the same way as you do not get instructions for use for a screwdriver, a hammer or pliers, the purpose of the item is clear and the intended purchaser would have some knowledge of it's intended operation. If you need assistance then there is a wealth of "how to" videos on the World Wide Web, which will illustrate exactly how to use the tool to trim the cable ready for crimping and crimp the ends on much better than any written manual ever could. https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=how+to+crimp+network+cables&tbm=vid If you still have difficulty using the device then take the tool to one of our stores where a member of staff will be only too happy to show you how to use it.
