Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good... Bought a couple for our little car, liked them so much I bought half a dozen as 'non-fattening' gifts for our nurses and carers. Three points: Car sockets vary, and some seem too big without an adaptor. Ours is so loose, I have to twiddle the torch after any big speed-bump. There's nothing in the minimal documentation about the dim, red 'charging' light. Does this change to green on a full charge ? If the 'charging' light comes on without the car ignition on, remember to remove the torch when you park lest it trickle-drain the car battery...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I purchased one of these units from Maplins but found I was unable to persuade it to stay in my car's cigar lighter socket. It was much too small and dropped out. I got the same result when I tried it on several other sockets. I took it back to the store and they found the same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery Failed I bought one of these a couple of years ago and the battery Failed after about 3 months. I only gave it one star because I couldn't give it zero stars.

Can you leave this plugged in on-charge all the time?
Asked by: Chris
I’m afraid that may lead to overcharging the battery .
