Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap yes, worth the money.....absolutely not. Had a mind of its own as soon as I powered it up, would move to different position from that selected. The thing eventually stopped moving, stuck at Thor ( not much use unless you are Scandinavian!) and green indicator turned red/orange, which according to the manual means that it has either reached its angular limit or there is an over current - neither of which are true. I plugged my old motor in just to check current and that worked fine. Returned to Maplin for a refund as they seem not to stock any other brand. I have a Technomate now, works first time, although Ј30 more expensive.......I'll not be swayed by cheapo kit again.....read reviews first

Rated 3 out of 5 by from there were 2 motors in the store and my mate went for this one over the technomate (cheaper) we have had problems with it in the week we have had it. Losing sat points. after each scan, we have to move it some 12 clicks to get the signal back. (paid a fitter to sort out ) he advised tm-2600

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent! Does what it says on the tin. Once I got it mounted and set up within two minutes located the satellite and got a picture on tv. This was using disequ 1.2. Most important . You must set the latitude on the motor scale and set the angle of the dish. All this info readily available on the net. Great product.
