Ensuring your dish is correctly aligned to the satellite of your choice is sometimes easier said than done. The satellite finder takes out the guess work as you can easily see when the signal strength is at it's optimum level using the panel meter. The finder is suitable for any satellite system whether it is digital or analogue, fixed installation or even a mobile/camping system plus it can be used any time of the day or night. To use, simply connect the cable that normally runs to your dish to the input side of the meter. Use a secondary F-plug to F-plug cable (not supplied), to run from the other side of the meter to your dish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really very good - had previously tried lining up a dish by matching it up with the old one to no avail. We didn't have elevation/azimuth markings on the new dish so we didn't have any reliable way of lining it up - so we didn't get anywhere. Once I'd got the satellite finder (and a patch cable!) and actually followed the instructions we were able to aim the dish correctly after about 5 minutes - plus a little bit of re-jigging after we ran more cable. The buzzer helped a lot as it was difficult to look at the screen while up a ladder. Does exactly what it should.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lackis a jumper cable. Otherwise excellent especially as the tone allows you to ensure that tightening dish nuts hasn't altered alignment

Does this satellites finder work in algeria

Asked by: Karim
It simply displays the strength of the signal. If you are correctly aligned you will have good signal. If not signal strength will show as poor. The geographical location of the device has no bearing on it's ability to display a reading.

I have a satellite finder that displays four lights 22khz, 18v, 0hz and 13v. At the moment the 18v and 0hz light up but in the past, the TV signal on my Fortec  Star box is never at max signal. At the moment at max signal I have no signal on the Fortec.

I have just moved in to a rental property. It has a dish and the cable going from the dish into the room. Is this the right product I need for checking that the dish and cables are working before I invest in a Freesat box?

hi can it be used by a complete novice ie no experience with reading the metre

The meter itself is very simply to use. Alignment of a dish however does require either patience or experience.
