What is an SSHD?
An SSHD is a solid state hybrid drive. This brings together the capacity of mechanical hard drives while combining with the speed and performance of a solid state drive. This allows you to start up your PC quicker while not having to lose actual memory capacity.

Do I need anything special to install this into my computer?
As this is the same size as any normal desktop hard drive, it will fit straight into the slot in your tower PC. However, it does not come with a SATA cable or screws for the fixing and connecting of the drive. These will need to be purchased separately. Click here (A14AZ) for a SATA cable and here (A25GF) for the screws.

What can I store on 2TB?
With a 2 terabyte capacity you have plenty of space to store your files. You can store up to 2,000 hours of digital video, 500 two-hour DVD films, 640,000 digital photos or 33,320 hours of digital music.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Convinced. Physically this drive looks identical to my other Seagate ST2000DM 2TB drives right down to the control board attached to the drive, if there`s RAM installed on mine, it`s very well hidden. And I can`t say I`ve noticed any difference in boot time or program loading at all. The labels a different colour and it`s certainly more expensive. So I guess it works, but I`m not convinced it`s speeded anything up apart from the rate my bank account balance is dwindling.

Hi there, is this compatible with Mac? I want to use the disc to store and work on raw files. Would this be suitable?

Asked by: Alex
The drive can be used on a Mac as long as you format it for use with a Mac first, you can find dozens of websites that will help you with how to format a drive for Mac.

would this work within a fusion elite 2 set up for a gaming computer and would it work with the original that's installed or would the original need to be replaced?

Asked by: Mattk
This should work fine but I do not know the set up for the PC you have so I can't comment on how the install would work with other drives inthe PC.

Will this work in a PS4?

Asked by: TomCox85
Unfortunately i am sorry but the item in question doesn't support use in you intended application. This would require a 2.5inch Hard Drive such as. Seagate Game Drive for PlayStation 1TB Internal 2.5 Inch SSHD Hybrid Drive Code: A52UR

Can these drives be partitioned so that I have 200GB for the C (system) partition and the rest for a D drive?
Asked by: Dave
You can set up those hybrid drives the same way you do an ordinary mechanical drive. These are all logical operations, not dependent on the underlying hardware
