Freedom of Sound
The Sennheiser RS120 wireless system is perfect for home audio without wires, and without fuss. Sporting an extraordinary range of 100m, and penetrating through almost all walls and ceilings - you can go almost anywhere with these headphones and still enjoy the great quality sound. Whether you're gardening in the sun or clearing out the garage, it'll reach.

Can I use them for TV as well as for music?
The transmitter connects via a standard 3.5mm jack plug, meaning it can connect to any device with this socket. Most TVs have this socket so you absolutely can use them for TV. Perfect for a film or episode marathon.

How easy are they to set up?
Setting the system up is very easy. You simply have to ensure the receiver is charged, plug the transmitter into your audio source, then select the same channel on the receiver as the transmitter! It couldn't be easier. Besides selecting the channel, these headphones are plug and play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful sound quality and excellent range. I can walk at least 300 yards up the road before the signal starts to get tricky. No hiss at normal distances. They cope very well with two brick walls in my house too. I love the way that the phones charge on the stand without any plugging in of wires. The only thing in my wish-list would be a line in, so I could connect the headphones to my amp without cutting out the speakers, so I can listen in another room while my wife listens in the lounge. But since you can't do this with wired phones either, it's not very significant. The quality of the phones is what you'd expect from Sennheiser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bit of kit. No background noise/hiss/interference at all in the house. When I am in my workshop in the back garden there is a small but not intrusive amount of hiss. The sender is right at the front of my victorian semi so the signal is going through two 9" and three 5" walls. I have NEVER run the batteries flat despite sometimes listening to them all day . As for the quoted range, it's understated. I walked up the road to see how far I got before the signal broke down. I got to our corner shop - about 200 metres and the signal was still perfectly listenable; just a lot of hiss. As for the actual sound - excellent. Good top and bottom end and superb stereo separation and image. Can't sing the praises for this product loud enough. Bargain at the price I paid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Little concerned when reading the reviews before purchasing as the volume control appeared to be an issue. However as the good reviews exceed the not so good, I purchased. The volume control on my unit is excellent give a smooth volume adjustment, perhaps Sennheiser have listened to the comments. An excellent bit of kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The sound reproduction can't be faulted as can the range (they work at the bottom of my garden) ergonmics are a bit of a letdown, even with the headband at the smallest setting, a turn of the head or look up and down and they fall off. There is no mute when the signal auto switches off, which results in a loud and often unexpected hissing. The receiver tuning is also a bit "cheap" and often is moved all to easily unintentionally. It needs to be a preset as is the transmitter. Overall though would recomend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I tried various locations and positions for the "charger/transmitter" but could not get rid of a background hiss. It appears to be very directional critical, moving my head slightly to the side made the hiss worse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs frequent resetting Keeps going dead, requiring resetting. Manfacturer claims this is caused by power surges, but it happens so often I think it's just bad design, they even have a page about it on their own website!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says on the box I bought this for a Christmas present as I was fed up with 3 of us having to listen to the TV on exceptionally high volume for my husband. He can now enjoy his own volume while the rest of us aren't suffering. I did spend a while online researching this type of product as I was told I could waste a lot of money. I also rang my local Maplin store and they were extremely helpful with extra information. I wanted something I could take back to a local store if my husband couldn't get on with this style of headphone. Its now 1st Feb and he's been using them since Christmas and only thing we have to be mindful of is if he nods off and I pause the TV the signal to the headphones I lost and they hiss - which is very loudly as his volume is quite high - at least it wakes him up but not in the nicest way!! We are all very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb. Does the job This product was so easy to set up. Good sound quality. Like the way it charges itself whilst resting/storing on its own stand.

Can you buy replacement ear pads for RS120 11 headphones. If so where?

Asked by: Maryellen
They are available but Maplin do not sell them. I'd advise using a popular web search engine to find them.

can the transmitter be connected to the audio output of an amplifier in a manner that will allow the speakers to work in conjunction with the headphones. I'm thinking of using the headphones with people who have hearing impairment but also using speakers

Asked by: kenp
If your amplifier has multiple outputs then this would be suitable.

Will sennheiser rs120 work with sennheiser hdr180  transmitter

Asked by: Gwilym
We would be unable to guarantee compatibility, even if both units operate on the same frequency, they were not designed as interchangeable.
