Light output is handled by the CREE XP-C chip, delivering 100 lumens for up to 8 hours from one set of batteries and features adjustable focus from 1X spot to 4X flood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My sister in law & myself have been using these for quite a while with no problems. We have a milk round & set off at 2am every morning so in the middle of winter we have 6hrs of darkness & can easily get that from a set of maplin rechargeable batteries. Over the years I've had nearly every headlight on the market & nothing matches these with the light output. The sensor is great when you are in & out of the driving seat. I can't imagine having to go back to any of the others so i keep buying another as a spare when i go to Maplins just in case they give up selling them & now have about 6 in reserve :-). The star rating only goes up to 5 so unfortunately i can't give them any more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought one of these for myself, it was quickly spirited away by my partner who does a lot of dog rescue and traps runaway dogs, ideal as hands free, even with gloves on with the sensor. Very bright 100 lumens light and hours and hours of running time. Bought myself another one which is always in my pocket, most recently used it for woodworking with the early dark nights we are getting. Bought two more this week for friends for Christmas Presents, AND just reserved another one for another friend. Not had any problems so far with bits falling off as in an earlier review, the red zoom dial feels sturdy, maybe they addressed this issue. Can't recommend them enough, lots of power from such a small light, Cree Led rules !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good two things not mentioned are: If the white/manual button is held down the LED dims, it flashes twice to indicate minimum light output, before returning to full and dimming again. The SOS function actually flashes SOS in morse code ...---... Love it, Les

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've tried a few head torches over the years, everything from pound shop specials to premium brands, and this is the best so far. There are brighter lights available if you want to spend more money but 100 lumens is more than enough for most tasks, and being able to alter the beam to suit the job you are doing is very useful. The sensor to switch on and off is a great feature, so much easier than fumbling around with tiny buttons. As stated in another review the light output can be turned down if you do not need full power and if the white 'sensor' button is used to dim the light it remembers the level which is set and switches back on at this level when re-activated by waving a hand in front of the head torch. This button also glows red when the torch is turned off using the sensor so it's easy to find if you put it down somewhere dark! A clever design and a quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixing plumbing in the attic, or nightwork under the jeep can be tricky. not with this excellent piece of kit, comfortable to wear too. i"m not a gadget fan, but this beats holding a maglite whilst working.

do you do a red bulb to fit this

Asked by: bobby
No red bulb but there are 2 red LEDs below the main lamp, activated by pressing the orange button twice. First press switches on the main light, second press changes to the red ones.(Press a third time and the red lights will flash 'SOS')
