An easy to install CCTV camera producing good quality 600TVL images. This camera is compatible with all DVRs with BNC inputs but can also be connected directly to a monitor for immediate monitoring of footage. Its IP66 rated construction ensures it can be installed indoors or outdoors without any issues- and its vandal-proof cable bracket makes sure that the cable cannot be damaged by any trespassers or intruders. With a viewing angle of 22° this camera can be used for monitoring a variety of areas around your home or business. The relatively narrow viewing angle is more suited to alleyways and specific items/areas than large areas such as driveways.Ideal for any home or small business security installation, this camera offers high quality images both day and night due to its 84 high powered infrared LEDs, automatically switching to black and white at dusk to provide the best footage possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I purchased this camera and found it to be excellent, it is larger than your bog standard cctv camera, but then it does a lot more. Having calculated the lens size I needed for the job, I was holding my breath when I powered up this beauty and hoped that I did my sums correctly. If your a novice like me, you can get a cctv lens calculation formula from a quick search on google. This camera exceeded my expectations and then some. The night vision is outstanding and the 16mm lens zoomed into the area perfectly, All in all I would highly recommend this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased the camera for use at local church where Yorkshire stone flags were being regularly stolen. Very satisfied with quality of image and extremely impressed with its night vision capability. The infra red LED's do glow a soft red at night time making the camera visible but this serves as a deterrent so didn't mind too much. Very robust and well constructed camera. Just need to catch the thieves in action now...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing night vision cctv camera for long distance. I read the reviews on here for this camera and they convinced me this would be a good camera to see my gates at the end of my drive, the camera i had been using just did not have the ability to see 50+ metres away clearly at night, this is a brilliant camera, perfect in the day and amazing at night,i honestly thought i'd need a camera fixing at the gate with lights and all the hassle and cost that went with it,this is a brilliant cctv camera if you need great picture quality in the dark, cheers to the other reviews for convincing me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Fixed Zoom Camera Brilliant Day and Night images (although I cannot comment on its performance at 80m as I am not using such a range) - just check that the narrow angle suits your needs (e.g. a car will fill the field of view at about 20m).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good long distance camera This camera came with three wallplugs and there are four mounting holes for screws. The screws are very soft and it is easy to distort the screwdriver cross (it is a Phillips). I recommend you throw away the screws provided and use some decent 1 inch x 6 screws. It comes with its own power supply, so you will need a spare socket at the recording end, and at the camera end there is a power and a BNC coupler which don't look waterproof, so I wrapped these joints in plastic to protect them from the weather. If you are mounting the camera on a horizontal surface, be aware that it's field of view barely dips below the horizontal. The camera itself is very good, giving a clear scene whether by day or night. The IR lighting is bright enough to give reflections from nearby car number plates, so you might not be able to read the numbers at night, but all other detail will be clear. Despite all the complications of mounting it, once fitted and wired in it is an excellent long distance camera and I recommend it.

What is maximum cable run that this camera will handle.  Specifically, will it be ok with a 50m cable run into it?

Asked by: Neil
With BNC you are looking at 30m on a single cable before you start to get signal/ power issues.

At night , the night mode is displayed in B&W and faces are identifiable within range , for them to be clear , they would need to be within 5m .
