This Sentient camera is a great addition for existing or new CCTV systems, producing a 700 TVL image. The 30-98 degree viewing angle of the camera is variable, offering excellent coverage of your premises, with the ability to manually adjust the zoom and focus when installing the camera. Focus with flexibility and control using the camera’s 10x zoom which lets you get close to what you want to see, capturing the area in high detail. Switching to black and white, in low light conditions, the high powered IR LEDs offer up to 30m night vision. With the use of BLC (back light compensation) imaging technology, the effects caused by backlighting are minimised, allowing installation in areas of contrasting levels of lighting. This reduces the chance of subjects appearing as silhouettes, offering a more natural image. The camera is a security solution made to adapt and fit to your needs, offering you optimal coverage of a variety of locations or setups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant camera, but This is a good camera good colour good night vision, good field of view, easy to install as i was replacing an existing camera. This is a 2 person job one to adjust the zoom and focus and one to look at the monitor. Mine came with no instructions how to set it up as there is a setup menu it was trail and error. Overall pleased with the camera i like dome camera because you can't anything over it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the price Poor image clarity, won't get a clear picture of someone unless they stand still. night vision not good, returned the one I got as there was a halo on the image when ir's switched on, hlc compensation is good for what it's intended to do however at night it blocks out a person due to the infrared reflection coming off them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money We are using the camera to watch the hedghogs in our garden and the image is good (once you do some adjusting of the focus). It is small enough to set up as a portable camera and we have created a stand for it so we can move it around the garden. Easy to use and we really happy with the product.

Can this camera be used sitting on a ledge, rather than fixed to the ceiling, or will the picture be upside down?

There are no in-depth instructions supplied with these cameras, are there any downloads available from maplin/internet to explain the on screen set up menu/options??
