About this product

Overview

Product overview

• Clear resolution, HD 720p dome camera
• Analogue CCTV technology for higher resolution images even in low light conditions
• Viewing angle of 35 – 90 degrees to give a large field of view, great for open areas like gardens, driveways or loading docks
• IP66 weatherproof rated for use indoors or outdoors

What features does my camera have?
The Sentient camera is a good multipurpose security camera, an ideal addition for any analogue HD digital video recorder (DVR). Please note that as this a high-definition camera, it will not work with non high-definition DVR's. The camera has an amazing three megapixel image and a viewing angle of 35 - 90 degrees. The camera has a long 30m night vision range thanks to its 36 powerful infrared LEDs and switches to black and white to record the clearest picture possible.

Can I use a DVR with my camera?
You can use almost any DVR with BNC sockets to record footage from this camera - it’s as simple as connecting the video cable and power adapter, just plug and play. Everything you need to set up this camera is included in the box including an 18m BNC cable, mounting screws and plugs. This camera can be viewed on your smartphone remotely through the use of a DVR connected to your internet router and a compatible app so you can view your camera from almost anywhere.

Where can I put my camera?
The camera is fitted with an adjustable mount, which allows you to place and secure it on any hard surface. With its IP67 weatherproof rating this is a great security camera for indoors and outdoors. The camera is designed to be fixed to the underside of ceilings and overhangs. With its adjustable focus and position manually altered on the camera itself, it’s ideal placed out of reach but within easy access.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome quality & price for varifocal! Entry point HD analogue. Good camera! I can see the previous review stating they didn't work: my guess is incorrect polarity or he used traditional analogue DVR that's incompatible with HD Analogue. As long as you use good quality RG59 & sufficient power, these work well. I'd buy more but Maplins are discontinuing these sadly.

Hi I have the Sentient 720 system I have just bought the verifocal bullet camera. I can get zoom on the monitor on one of them by holding the mouse over the image how do I set up the other one I don't know how I got the first one to work

Asked by: kieran
This camera does not have a motorised zoom, the "varifocal" length of zoom and focal length are typically pre-set on the rear of the camera using special screws, before installation. The greater the zoom the narrower the field of vision. The zoom to which you refer is simply a digital zoom and is available on all images, it just makes the dots bigger to give an illusion of zooming in.
