What is in this kit?
Investigate wind power using this wind turbine with adjustable blades. This wind turbine is supplied assembled. The turbine blades are connected to a generator which produces a DC output that can be used to try to power an LED (not included) or measure using a multimeter (not included) The blades are easy to attach, remove and adjust to give you many variables and allow you to experiment and see which gives you the most power.

What does this kit teach?
Learn about renewable wind power. Wind turbines are producing increasing amounts of electricity for homes, schools and business and are a clean reliable power source, especially offshore windfarms. The turbines are rotated by the push of the wind against the blades so the position of the turbine as well as the pitch and orientation of the blades can affect how much power is generated. See how much power can be produced using different amounts of wind and by setting the blades at different pitches. Alternatively, try a different number or orientation of blades.

Asked by: abass
Sorry but this information is not provided given that the entire premise of the turbine is as an educational kit and assistance tool for Keystage 2/3 wind experiments. The turbine has adjustable blades so that students can experiment with different blade pitch to show how this affects the amount of power generated, and make measurements with different settings. https://maplindownloads.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/A48RQUser-Manual-1786.pdf
