A mains-powered unit for the filtration and removal of soldering and other fumes from the immediate vicinity of the user. When soldering in the workplace or classroom, it is advisable to have some kind of fume extraction or fume filtering system. The unit removes fumes safely and efficiently by drawing the air through replaceable carbon filters. Simply place the filter close to the work area and switch it on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was apprehensive about buying this item as it seemed too cheap having seen almost identical fume extractors at 3 & 5 times the cost. My worries were groundless and Maplin scores again - the extractor works perfectly, no more running eyes and no fume smell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is simply brilliant. Don't be put off by the low price, it works really well. Often soldering large projects, I only wished I could have bought this years ago. Don't think, just buy it you won't regret it for sure

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very egfective I use the extractor when doing pyrography the smoke from the heated wood is quite damaging to the respiratory system. It makes the process much more enjoyable and reduces the temptation to rush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works very well Good build quality, quiet running, great value for money, comes with spare filters which are fairly low quality sponge impregnated affairs, however from first use, no nausea, no lingering smells, no headaches, cant ask for more for this sort of money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan Was concerned about smoke from solder as was making my eyes sting. This fan really clears the smoke away from the work station. It is simple but very effective, is also quite quiet. Really good product at really good price
