What devices are compatible with these headphones?
Due to the standard 3.5mm jack plug included in the transmitter, you can use these headphones with a plethora of devices. Including smartphones, MP3 players, tablets, TVs, computers and game consoles - anything with a standard headphone port can be used with them. These head phones are designed to work with from a single audio source, but can be configured to work with dual reception with the help of an additional adapter or cable (not included).

Are they easy to set up?
Thanks to the automatic tuning feature, these headphones are very simple to set up. All you have to do is connect the transmitter to your sound source and you're good to go. No fussing around trying to find the right frequency, and certainly no annoying hiss or crackling - just easy, crystal clear wireless audio.

What is the range and battery life?
Following a full charge, you'll have approximately 13 hours of listening time. Half a day! Plenty of time to have a great audio experience. The range reaches to a massive 100m, which means you will never have to worry about signal issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I decided to pick these up as I got fed up with wires and as I game a lot this was practical. I'm very impressed with the sound quality of these wireless headphones, and the bass is very good also with the 50mm drivers. The only down side to these headphones are the fact that if you have the volume up loud, you can hear a hissing sound, but when you're playing music etc you don't hear it at all. These headphones also go through thick walls with out any sound loss at all.. For Ј50 notes you really can't complain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I brought this only today. Brilliant! The sound is really good and the headphones cup your ears making the bass excellent. The price is fairly reasonable, and these headphones work in every room of the house, and even upstairs it's as clear as next to the antenna. The controls are easy to use and the antenna is easy, plug in and plug in the jack and play an excellent product. I would give it a 4 out of 5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only one issue ! I have had these earphones for a few months and must say that the sound is excellent, with no distortion. The build quality is also of a high standard but I feel that the height above the head could be reduced to give a better appearance but this is nit picking. Regarding the earpieces, I found that removing the fabric padding was easy but refitting is near impossible until you read the instructions, at which point it is laughably easy and very efficient; in fact it is worth buying them for the experience !!!. Now the one issue.........the earpieces are very comfortable but very hot on the ears and if you remove the fabric earpiece, it is quite uncomfortable and not easy to keep the headphones in place. However, I have only worn them in the summer so I might welcome the warmth in cooler weather ?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nearly brilliant! I bought these as my ancient and much loved and over used Arkon headphones (also from Maplin) had become too uncomfortable to wear. The sound, especially the bass is far better. It's irksome not to have a cradle for them when you plug in for recharging, but liveable with. But the real downside is that, as has been reported earlier, I too get interference, but just on the left speaker. Tried everything I can think of to eliminate or minimise it. I'll keep them for loud films/music but, for me, they are unsuitable for anything quiet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I have been using these headphones for a number of days with my computer, iPhone and even television and am overall not that impressed. There is a lot of interfearence (almost to the point of deafning) when i first tried the headphones. This may be due to the fact that i do have a number of telecommunication objects but never the less the headphones SHOULD be on a completely different band width that the band width the rest of my electronics use. Furthermore it is not very practicle. I used these headphones whilst I was outside and while the sound quality was reasonable, the interference was still there and I found myself going into the house to change song constantly as there are no buttons for this that I have seen. I have also found that whilst it does have the capability to supply to 2 headphones via 2 channels, it appears that only one of the channels can be used at a time which is very unpracticle and can be quite misleading. The style of the product is very sleak I found and the ear pieces covered my ears quite easily and comfortably, I have worn them for a few hours without my ears overheating which was good even in this hot british summer of 2013. I did find that the arc that supports the two speakers on the headphones was a bit pointless as it was about 50mm away from my head when my ears were near the speaker. The strap did keep the headphones on but the supporting arch did look very out of place. Overall I think this is a product for someone who will use it only in one spot, doesnt have many telecommunicational electronics (if that was the interfearence I heard) and also for people who like style over performance and doesnt mind average sound quality. The good: - average sound quality - quite sleek and stylish - it's wireless - not bad bettery life The bad: - not very portable - lots of interference - average sound quality - not designed well for low space use

Rated 4 out of 5 by from comfort Having been using headphones with a lead having to take them off every time I moved, this means I can walk around with them on & still listen also better sound Volume control on them. Would like a slightly longer lead to charge battery with & it seems to take a lot of charging, i.e use 3 to 4 hours charge over 12 hrs. But on the whole very good value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Quality Clear Sound through the the whole of my 4 story house. Light weight you don't realise you have them on, now I can play my music as loud as I like without upsetting the neighbours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sound, slow charge After 16 hours charging set it up and it worked fine without needing adjustment. I only used it for half an hour but it still needed another 16 hours before the charging light went out showing it was again fully charged. However much or little I use it the light shows that it is on-charge afterwards for 16 hours which seems strange. However apart from that peculiarity it works fine.

I use wireless headphones because I have a hearing problem. When the transmitter is plugged into the TV can other people in the room stil hear the sound through the TVs speakers?

Asked by: Albie
This will depend on the TV and the options it has available on it, some will allow you to do this and some will not.

I hear this pulsating sound that interrupts my listening experience - what is this? Does this wireless need batteries? I recharge and recharge but still the sound persists! Do i need to buy a replacement ive had these at least 2 yrs its very strange!

Asked by: Vee77
Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what is causing interference on some headphones you own. I would advise trying them at a different location to see if its an environmental factor or an issue with the item.

Do you stock the special battery pack I tried aaa rechargable bat, but didn't charge On the inside of the headphone cover there is a note saying don't use rechargable Batteries?.

Asked by: Reggie
On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.

Sony RF811 reads well does it recharge its battery on a docking station?  Volume controls etc are they press button digital or analogue rotary switches. Thanks Robert.

Asked by: Robert
These are charged by plugging the charging cable into the headset , not via the docking station. And the volume function is controlled by a Rotary switch.

My husband is dapeaf.  Can he adjust the volume on the earphones so that he hears tehbTV at a louder volume than that emitted by the TV.

Asked by: Carol
Yes, I am pleased to advise the item will support this use, but the TV would also have to support this.

Do these headphones cut off the tv speakers or not ?

Asked by: Alan
The included transmitter would connect to the headphone socket of the TV, if your TV is set up to cut the local speakers when headphones are connected then this would be the case as long as the transmitter is plugged in. Some TV models allow you to change what happens when headphones are connected, but you would need to check the manual for your TV to see if this is possible with your model.
