Why would I use conductive thread?
Conductive thread is an aesthetically pleasing variation of wiring designed for wearable tech and e-textiles. It allows you to sew your components and devices into fabrics or pieces of clothing. When using conductive thread in this manner, you will need to remember that it acts like uninsulated wire and be sure to avoid shorting the circuit by crossing the thread paths.

As this conductive thread is made from stainless steel, it will not oxidise and is also safe to wash.

Learn more about conductive thread
Whether you’re new to hand embroidery or new to conductive thread, you may want to research and determine what stitches you will be using. Investing in an embroidery hoop and a needle threader will help you get started and save a lot of time and frustration.

When you’ve completed your circuit, you are advised to use a multi-meter to confirm that all connections are secure and that there are no shorted lines. Do this before attaching the power.

Caution is advised when attempting to use a sewing machine.

Hi,  This looks an interesting product - please can you tell me how you would make the electrical connections to the ends of the thread - will it solder if it's stainless steel?  Thanks
