How to get the most out of my window alarm?
The Window Motion Alarm should be place on any easily accessible window particular on the ground floor. The siren goes off if the window vibrates heavily (such as being forced open) or breaks once it is armed. Motion alarms are perfect for areas such as conservatories shed, windows and accessible windows to add an extra layer of security to your property.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just fitted these not very good the unit itself is sensitive if you tap it But you can bang on the glass as hard as you like and it wont go off. suspect it is the thickness of the stick pad that's absorbing the shock I can even open the window and they still don't go off only when i bang it closed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unfit for purpose Bought 2 with a view to attaching to the inside of our rear ground floor french doors. Tested fine when out of the packaging, ie tapping on a desk/wall etc, however when fitted on the glass, unoperational. Despite several door slams and closing/opening sharply. Taken back to store. no problem getting a refund so good customer service at the very least. Product? save for a house alarm system and dont waste your money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what was needed Bought this about 2 months ago, "does what it says on the tin", its fixed to the window of the summer house and makes me feel that it is now secure. When activated it blasts off at goodness knows how many decibles. A great buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Utterly useless on double-glazing Bought 4 of these for use on double-glazing windows. Even on the 'hi' sensitive setting, you can pound away with your fist on the window and the sensor will not go off. Pointless. All 4 return

I have just moved into a house with these on the bifold doors. Can I move them onto the door frame and will they still work ignoring the glass is broken?

Is this sensitive to detect  an unlocked  door opening  normally as an entry  anouncer e.g not a locked door being kicked or pushed.

Asked by: dino
This would be designed for use on a pane window, and would react to the vibration of the glass if someone were to try and break through. It would not be advisable to use this on a door, where standard operation may be enough to cause the unit to activate.

How dose it stick/stay on the window and if I put in my living room there's one big area of Windows / glass like a living room drive window would I need one for each window if it was about a meter away from each window and a sheet of glass between them

Asked by: Ollie
These would stick to the glass itself using the supplied adhesive backing. Each sensor would be used to detect a shock on a single pane of glass, so if you have multiple sections to a window you would need one sensor for each section. Details on ideal mounting locations can be found in the user manual which can be viewed here;
