• Weather resistant bullet cameras can be used outside and angled to point at specific areas
• Imitation domes mimic recording cameras with a blinking LED powered by 3 x AA batteries per camera

What advantages does my Imitation Camera have?
The Swann ADS-TPKIT is designed to act as a deterrent. This kit contains four black plastic imitation bullet cameras complete with and 2 x imitation dome cameras. The best security solution is to mix real and imitation cameras as a warning to intruders.

Where should I position my imitation cameras?
The realistic imitation bullet cameras are weather resistant for use outdoor and do not require any power. The cameras even have adjustable sun shields for added authenticity. The bullet cameras can be attached with screws to a wide variety of surfaces.

Give the appearance of a recording camera with the realistic Dome camera. This imitation camera has a blinking LED indicator powered by 3 x AA batteries (not included Order Code L43AL). The durable plastic is weather resistant for outdoor use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Swann 6x camera anti theft kit Bought these cameras about 3 months ago. Took one of the domes out of the box and the plastic dome had scratches all over it. Inside two of the black bullet cameras water had got into the camera somehow and a few of the LEDs didn't light up. Screws on the mounting brackets were very small and they rusted straight away. These cameras are NOT worth the price. Ј39.99 the old kit with the 8x cameras would have been the best, that's the ones I wanted to buy for my garage but Maplin didn't have any left. "If I were you I wouldn't buy this product".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK once you've done some modifications I bought this kit expecting only to white dome cameras to have fake operating LEDs and was a little surprised to find a (2xAAA) battery compartment in the four black cameras also. To be fair, Swann/Maplin do not advertise that the black cameras have LEDs and it is fairly easy to see why. It is clear from the outset that the black camera bodies are in no way water resistant and any electronics/batteries will be quickly drowned. Wanting to still use the unpublished feature of the black cameras I did the following (don't expect your guarantee to be valid though): 1. Drill a 6-8mm hole in the back of the camera, being sure to miss the battery compartment and leads inside. 2. Inject the camera with black silcone bathroom sealant until it just starts to ooze out the case joints. 3. Insert a 20cm piece of coax into the hole and allow for silcone to set (could take 24+ hours). 4. Once set, trim off excess silcone. Camera should now (hopefully) be far more water resistant. 5. Mount camera on wall with battery compartment facing downwards. 6. Drill small hole in wall and poke coax in for that 'connected' look. Did this a week or so ago and have had some pretty major downpours since. All cameras still glow red at night and fully look the part. Not sure how long two AAA batteries are going to last, however. May be up and down the ladder every month to change them! Altogether, Ј32 for 6 cameras (lit up or not) is still not bad value, especially if you are happy to mod them a bit. Update.... 3 weeks later and two of the three cameras are now lights out. It was worth a try, but my black camera waterproofing mod didn't work. Sorry folks!
