What are the benefits of my Wi-Fi camera?
The Swann NHD-810 camera is a great outdoor and indoor IP camera with a viewing angle of 80 degrees. The HD 1080p resolution is good enough to pick up the fine details such as people’s faces and number plates. The Swann NHD-810 also sends one way audio for monitoring and recording. With its powerful 36 infrared LED black and white night vision you can still record up to 30m from the camera.

Is it easy to set up?
This camera can only be used in combination with Swann’s Full HD network video recorders including NVR-7085, NVR-7282 & NVR-73XX. Everything you need to install this camera is included in the box including an Ethernet cable, bracket and screws for set up.

Where can I use my camera?
The Swann NHD-810 camera is a great versatile IP camera suitable for indoors and outdoors with its IP66 weatherproof rating. It’s a bullet camera which delivers maximum flexibility and gives a wide range of mounting options and angles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from be sure this is what you want - description is misleading Not True TCPIP. I have been searching this camera and as far as I can tell this is not a true IP (TCP-IP) camera. Whilst is uses an Ethernet cable it appears that these cameras use a proprietary protocol called Swannlink Peer to peer connection to connect the camera directly to a compatible Swann NVR device so you can't connect the camera to an IP network nor can is use standard power over Ethernet protocol (PoE) from a network switch. With this in mind, this camera is somewhat a hybrid between a traditional camera which uses coax cable to connect and a true IP camera that uses the Ethernet protocol allowing it to be connected to a normal IP network.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture Quality The cameras give a very good picture quality and the only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that I bought a kit with 4 cameras and 1 keeps misting up on the lens so I'm trying to get SWANN to replace it. I've read the other reviews from Karl and it isn't correct the cameras are TCPIP and they do have there own IP address, they also do work on a standard PoE network switch. You cannot connect directly to them using the IP address but this as understand it is for security reasons, they have to be associated with a SWANN NVR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME SETUP I bought this set-up to replace an older set I bought from Maplins a few years ago, Wow what a massive difference. It was easy to install and set-up and the picture quality is fantastic even at night, I would recommend a security light if you want colour recording at night. But so far I cannot fault this system and for the home at the price it is defiantly the best I have seen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but no longer sold I only bought this recently and I can't buy any more. I'd have given it more stars but I can only buy a more expensive one now :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swann NHD-810 1080p Day & Night Outdoor Bullet IP Camera Excellent product, I am currently using this system through my home network with no issues. Granted I have a Cat5e enabled house, however the cameras are patched back to the DVR not a POE switch. Do not use a POE switch as this system will not work, it should be independent from your data network apart from the interface link. Unless you want to start creating a VLan as you would for IPT with trunking and QOS etc. If the cable isn’t long enough extend up to 70 Mtrs in my case for the garage.

I have a nvr8-7285 and I need some compatible dome cameras , please can you tell me what cameras I need

Asked by: Johnboy26868
The following camera will be ideal http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/swann-pro-nhd819-4mp-dome-camera-a98wg Make sure you set the encode properties for the camera to 1080p so that the NVR can decode and record it's picture correctly.

I have got 2 of these cameras but am not getting any audio through my phone app email enquiry though it is turned on. Any ideas please?

Asked by: damo1234
Make sure audio recording is turned on for both the main and sub stream in the RECORD/ENCODE page. To hear audio on your HDMI device go to DISPLAY/OUTPUT and turn audio ON, also make sure you have selected a HDMI output resolution (1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080)

Will this work with NVR -7085?

Asked by: thebearsjw
According to the Swann info, after upgrading the firmware it should be compatible: NVRx-7085 / NVRx-7285 Firmware Release (GA3.1) A new firmware release for the 7085/7285 series of recorders is now available. This release increases the camera compatibility to include selected 1080P cameras (NHD-810 Bullet, NHD-811 Dome, NHD-817PTZ). http://support.swann.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2132404-nvrx-7085-nvrx-7285-firmware-release-ga3-1-
