Will this unit record 16 cameras at once at full 1080p? If not how many cameras can it support at this quality? What would be the maximum recording time at this resolution with the 2Tb disc? Thanks

Asked by: bikebrain
You can record from all 16 cameras at full resolution, the record time would be determined by the frame rate chosen and type of recording method (constant/motion only). 16 cameras using full 1080p record @ 20fps would fill up 2.2 TB in 2 days you can maximise recording capability by reducing frame rate (10fps is perfectly acceptable for CCTV footage) and using the feature where the cameras only record if motion is detected.

I currently have several Swann Bulldog BNC Cameras. Would they work with this system if I used a BNC to Cat 5 adapater at the camera end and simply left it as a cat 5 cable into the recorder ?

I am sorry but the item in question does not support use in your intended application.

With IP NVR's, does this unit have to have specific Swann IP cameras attached via the ethernet cable, or can any IP/Ethernet camera work with this NVR.

Asked by: Brian
The Swann systems will only support Swann IP cameras.
