The camera comes with screws and fixings, power supply, combined BNC and RS-485 cable and adjustable mount - everything you need to install the camera. Using the RS-485 you can manually control the pan, tilt and zoom as well as other settings through your on-screen display controller. Watch and even control your camera on the go from your smartphone with the Swann app and a compatible networked DVR.

Where should I place my camera?
Great indoors or outdoors with its IP66 weatherproof rating and sturdy aluminium body. The PRO-754 is ideal to place high up in the middle of an area for full use of its range of motions - for example on a post in the middle of a car park, on the ceiling of a shop, or on the corner of your property. The supplied mount can be adjusted for a range of angles with the camera hanging down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEYOND POOR We went to Maplins in Lincoln to purchase this system and the man there was superb and could not of been more help and knowledgeable. However BE WARNED that you will never get any technical help from Swann. The technical help is always 45 minute plus wait time and then on the 3 occasions we have needed codes to link to the I pad we have had someone who speaks no English try to help us. We are guaranteed someone from technical help will call us back but this has NEVER happened. There facebook page was filled with unhappy customers all saying the same so they have stopped customers from being able to write on here now. Product is ok but technical support is rubbish ! Which Swann dvr would this be compatible with

Asked by: reedyleed
This would work with any pure analogue DVR like the first link below, or the 4400 series DVRs if set to 960H recording mode. An example of this series is at the second link, there are 8 and 16 channel DVRs also available in that series. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/swann-dvr8-4200-8-channel-960h-dvr-with-1-tb-hdd-a09rl http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/swann-dvr-44400h-ahd-4-channel-500gb-network-dvr-a81tx

I currently have fixed cameras connected using BNC cables and want to upgrade a couplt to PTZ cameras.  Would I have to run a new RS485 cable or is the control signal multiplexed on to the BNC cable so that I really can just plug and play the new camera?

Asked by: Luke
If you have the standard Swann Video/Power leads then you will need to either replace it with the Swann cable that has RS485 cable and connectors molded into the lead or run a separate cable to operate the PTZ function. You can easily tell which you have by whether there are 2 pins at each end in addition to the BNC and Coaxial connectors.

I am installing a CCTV network. At the moment I don't have the PTZ camera but I want to lay a cable for it. What cables does it need. Does the RS485 cable need to be shielded or will normal two core cable do.

Asked by: Satchmo
The rs485 will need to be individually screened.
