What is the advantage of a wide angle camera?

The Swann Pro-760 camera is designed to give you a wide viewing area. The camera has a 700 TV Line resolution and a viewing angle of 75 degrees. The clear resolution 700 TV Line resolution is good enough to pick up the fine details such as people’s faces and number plates. The powerful 30m night vision uses 24 LEDs and captures the image in black and white to preserve as much detail as possible. The on screen display controller allows you to fine tune some of your camera’s settings.

How easy is it to record from my camera?

It’s easy to record your camera footage - simply plug your camera in to a compatible analogue DVD with BNC connection. For ease of installation the BNC, power and RS-485 cables are moulded into one 18m lead. The camera comes with a BNC to phono adapter to allow you to watch your camera on a TV with video phono, handy when you are adjusting the viewing area. Watch your camera on the move on your smartphone or tablet with a networked DVR and compatible app. Screws, fixings and power supply are included in the box.

Can I use my camera outside?

Designed for inside or outside with its sturdy aluminium body and IP67 weatherproof rating the PRO-760 is perfect for open areas. With its adjustable jointed bracket the wide angle camera can be manipulated to point in almost any direction, giving you freedom over where you can install it. Best placement is on the corners of your property up high to make the most of its range and viewing angle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I upgraded a cheaper camera with this one. It easily covers the 2 car port on the front of the house when mounted 30cm below the soffit board. It has good night vision as well. The downside is that the cable tail from the camera is too short to reach through into the roof. I had to pull the provided extension through the roof then down though 20cm of plastic conduit and into a IP55 box (N06GJ or similar - all openings sealed with silicone) to house the connections (I used self amalgamating tape as well as a backup sealant on the connections KW29G). I elected to mount the camera onto the front of the box to keep the installation tidy (The box is sturdy enough) with no cables visible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality picture, I bought one initially to replace an older camera covering the rear of my property. The viewing angle & range are far superior to the Swann camera I replaced. As mentioned previously though, the cable tails from the camera are too short & you may need a weather proof box to make the terminations secure. The screws included for mounting the unit are a joke, throw them away & use proper ones!! The quality of the picture & range far outweigh the cable problem, don't hesitate to buy this unit...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A well made, solid camera. The wide angle is adequate for what I need which is overlooking my large garden. The infra-red LEDs are very powerful, however, as my garden rises, the light bounced back at the camera. I have now ordered an additional LED night light to aim towards the top area of my garden. Summing up, the camera is terrific value for money. It even comes with a picture adjustment control box. The 18 metre connecting cable is an art in itself. All of it is superbly made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After purchasing the Swann 4 channel H.264 DVR and 2 cameras, i was impressed with the Quality but required a wider angle view. I purchased the PRO-760 camera which now gives me the view I required. After speaking with the tech support the system was networked, a simple password error was identified. The Swann View APP is easily set up and gives piece of mind when away from home. I will purchase Swann products in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought 2 of these cameras to replace the 2 that came with N09JJ. The results were amazing, i was not happy that the cameras with N09JJ just didn't cover the area right by the wall of my house but these swann ones did cover the area beautifully. As stated with the other reviewer the cable length from the camera itself it a tiny bit short. The IR spread is brilliant it seems to spread the IR beam over the area evenly rather then just a huge glow in the middle of the frame and dimmer to the outside like on cheaper make cameras. That said the IR beam isnt really that powerful compared to the others i have so i would leave this cam for fairly close range as i believe this cams IR won't do much of a job at night over like 10m for identification purposes. The image also seems to be a tiny bit sharper then the sentient ones i have N54HL these are also 540 tv lines but don't seem as sharp as the swann ones even when though the swann cams are at half D1 and the N54HL's are at D1! A thing to be aware of with these cams is the fact that because they are wide angle faces etc. will be smaller by a tiny amount so you will see more area but maybe not as easy to identify people at long range. The screws and wall plugs packed with this cam are poor to say the least the plugs are very small as are the screws so if you think they are gonna see some vandalism like kids hanging off of them get better screws and wall plugs if your fixing to masonry. The bracket is an allen key fitting and very easy to fix a position and an allen key is provided. The bracket can tilt around 60 degrees up and down and about 75 left and right and is fixed in the sense that you cannot take the bracket off and fix to the top of the cam, so as you see the pic its basically fixed like that and you move the head of it, so maybe something to think about if yours is in an already awkward position (was for me). Instructions are very nice and easy unlike most i have ever had since most have really bad grammar etc. this is nice. I also like the free 60ft of cable provided as some manufacturers don't give this. So if your looking to cover a bit of a blind spot like me these should easily do it if positioned right.

Hi can these cameras  be fitted under the eaves, as at the minute  I have dome cameras but wish to change them for a better camera

Asked by: Najb
As long as there is a suitable mounting point and clearance for the camera this should be fine, the dimensions for the mount and camera are as follows; Dimensions – Camera 165 mm x 115 mm x 67 mm Dimensions - Wall Mount 100 mm x 70 mm x 60 mm

Hi what's the night vision like as I already have cctv but at night the picture is grainy and you cannot make out faces is this a better quality and can you make out faces

Asked by: Vanessa
As we have no details about the quality of the CCTV camera you are currently using we would not be able to compare. Ability to view someone's face at night would depend on lighting camera angle and distance.
