What is the SwannOne Smart Hub?
The smart hub allows you to control all your home or business security from one central location. Providing a link between all your SwannOne devices, just place the hub in an easily accessible area and connect it to your Wi-Fi then let your hub do the rest. You can remotely control your security, lighting and more by using the SwannOne app.

How does the Smart Hub work?
The smart hub allows you to connect and control up to 400, be that indoor cameras, motion or door sensors, smart plugs, CCTV kits and more. How do you set the swannone to record to an external hard drive?

Asked by: robert
This isn't a function that the Swann One is capable of.

Regarding the removable top to store a portable hard drive, once inserted can this be configured to store images from the security cameras if they are set up to record when motion is detected?

Asked by: GClark7
"It is currently not possible to connect an external hard drive to the SwannOne hub via USB. However, this option will be made available down the track and will allow you to record video footage which you can then access by plugging the hard drive into a computer. It will not be possible to access video footage recorded to the external hard drive via the SwannOne mobile app or SwannOne website." via the SwannOne website

What's the difference between "connect to the internet wirelessly or via Ethernet"?

Asked by: Pazzer1
A connection via Ethernet will require a cable and this can be up to 100m long with no issue. When connecting using wireless no cable is need but range may be limited.
