Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fit for purpose I had high hopes for the Swannone system however unfortunately I have been let down. The main issue with the system is this siren. If you enjoy being woken up at 3am when the alarm is not even set with the siren sounding for 15-20 seconds for no reason at all them this is the item for you! Fortunately mine did this when I was testing it with the siren less than 1m from the Swannone hub. This has now happened on 2 consecutive nights with the same issue. The only way to stop it was to remove the batteries. Thank goodness I did not have to get my ladders out and get it off an external wall, to the delight of my neighbours I am sure. Avoid. I will be looking to return to Maplin

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seems ok BUT... I'm still assembling the product but so far everything seems ok. There's only one BIG caveat: the siren you'll get is NOT THE ONE IN THE PICTURE. It's in fact the previous model, with a white rectangular casing and a blue visor (not the red one you see in the images on the maplin website). It seems to be the previous model, with a siren at 98db (instead of the 104db advertised here). So, even if the product is fine and the price is reasonable (the old model still sells at 79£ on other websites), it's still a misleading purchase, since you don't get what you're expecting. Hence the one star rating (that's the only reason).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Random noises I bought this about a month ago. The positives: installation was easy; it's very loud; I haven't had any issues with connectivity. The negatives: it "chirps" loudly at least once, sometimes twice, a day - usually late in the evening - for no reason. This involves a short (10 seconds or so) sounding of the siren. Probably driving the neighbours mad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fail Drops connection randomly, goes off randomly, fails to go off when it should. All while 10 metres of direct sight from the hub.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst product in the world. Stay away from it and all swan products!!! Purchase it, tried to connect and didn't work, called swan and they book me with an engineer after two weeks, wasted another one hour with them on the phone and trying to figure out what is wrong. They decided the new unit is faulty and provided an RMA. I've paid £26 to send it back and had to wait another month to get it back from them. SWAN products are worst quality so their services and wait time for customer support.

Hi, we have purchased this siren with the whole system a few weeks ago. The system is working fine but we have a problem to set up the siren it's randomly going on for a 2 sec every 20/30 min, which is quite disturbing. Any ideas whats's wrong?

Sorry but it's impossible to remote diagnose such a fault via a text based questions system. You could contact Swann technical support directly for help with this http://www.swann.com/uk/contact-tech-support If you believe the item is faulty I would advise it is returned with your proof of purchase.

I have seen a number of reviews with the same issue I have,  The alarm is not set yet it randomly goes off for a few seconds at a time (so not full alarm duration)  seems to be random and intermittent, any idea why

I would try setting the alarm and seeing if this alleviates the problem . Check all wiring , and connections, batteries, If this persists then it could have a fault and may need to be exchanged.
