Is this power supply right for me?
This switched mode 12V power supply is useful for individuals that want to be able to power four CCTV cameras with one power source. With the included IEC power cable, everything you need to get started is enclosed in the box.

What kind of CCTV cameras can this connect to?
Less power demanding cameras such as smaller day/night cameras and more demanding cameras with very long night vision are in a majority supported by the 12V 5A rated power supply. With the use of the four way power splitter supplied, four different cameras could be connected to just the one power supply. The 12V 5A power supply could also be used for other devices such as a LCD screen, DVRs and even be used to power multiple keyboards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, good quality, no more tangled wires from 4 different power sources.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good power supply for cameras The power supply was purchased to replace an existing power supply that had failed after several years of use. This is the second Maplin's power supply I have purchased. The first was for the camera recorder unit and this one for the cameras themselves. They just work without any problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Didn't give it the full 5 due to only have 3 cables for cameras when most sets start with 4! I bought it to replace a failed power supply for our main unit anyway so not fussed, but it would have saved a plug had there been 5 cables in total.

will it run a l19wd series lorex

Asked by: pencil
Looking at the specs for that system it doesn't look like a standard power connector. https://www.lorextechnology.com/downloads/discontinued-b4-2010/L19WD%20Series_QSG_EN_R1.pdf can you email images of the power connector, also what amperage does it require and what polarity if single pin is it positive or negative centre.

Will this power up 3 cctv cameras with 2 cameras connected with a bnc cable 35 metres long and 1 camera connected to a bnc cable 60 metres long

Asked by: Craig
It will be fine with the 35m lengths however you will struggle to send the 12v down a 60 meter cable. It would be better to power the camera on the 60m cable at the location it is sited.
