Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is less heavy-duty than I thought it would be - Although, still a fantastic product. Holds 4 par cans quite happily. Folds up very small, so therefore easy to transport. Easy to put lights on/take them off the T-Bar, so quick set-up time for performers/DJ's...etc. Bought two, and if need more in the future would definitely get more of these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing! Ideal for light duty use only (from my experience). Bought a few years ago but not really used until this weekend. Sadly it didn't live up to the listed weight of 30 Kg, having failed to hold up one pin-spot light (less than 1 Kg) and 2 moon-flowers (2 x 2 Kg)... a jubilee clip had to be employed on the upper pole to keep the lights up as neither of the plastic clamps used for securing the extendable poles were up to the job! Very disappointing piece of hardware. *To Maplin* - Might I suggest (from a manufacturing point of view) that a series of holes be drilled in the extension poles, and securing pins be used to keep the T-bar from descending at an impromptu moment, as utilised with speaker stands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this light stand a few weeks back and it was a great product for the price. It came in a long cardboard box that said ProSound on the side of it. When I got home I put it together, it was self explanatory really but best to use the instructions in case it goes wrong. Everything was in a clear plastic sleeve and packed together nicely. You can adjust the height accordingly from 116cm - 270cm. The T-bar that came with it is 92cm long and can hold up to 20kg, it came came with 4 butterfly nuts and bolts. The whole stand together weighs around 4kg. Overall I think it's a great product, I turned the 2 inner butterfly nut upside down so I could have 2 lights on the top and the bottom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its looks good and is great for smaller lights, but telescopic poles started slipping down and bolt to secure base snapped after 1 gig only holding 10kg worth of lights on it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When I first saw this lighting stand in store, I didnt really think much of it, It was on display with two small lights and was not tightened fully. However, I ordered two of them and have had them set up with 2 Vangos and 2 Par Cans on each, both held up no problem at all. A very good quality stand, I run a large Mobile Disco business and these are amazing for value and quality. For the price, you cant go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used this as a trial for an amateur radio HF Vertical antenna. I tried it in the gusting wind, used with a guying kit it held very well. The antenna was a SRC X80 at around 21 feet + which bent over in the gusting wind. Then returne in the calm to its normal position. The T-Bar may come in useful for mounting a dipole antenna, or as additional guying support if required. Overal a bargain at the price and very stable too.

Are these stands suitable for temporary use outside where they may get wet? I require tall stands to support LED floodlights.

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee full compatibility for this item in your intended application, as it may rust and the electronics that may be used on the stand might not be weather proof.
