Product overview

  • Television conversion line cord BT type telephone plug one end
  • US type telephone plug at the other end
  • Commonly used in faxes/modems

This telephone conversion line cord is 3m (approximately) and has a BT type telephone plug at one end and a US type telephone plug (RJ11) at the other. The conductors are suitably crossed (1-2, 2-1, 3-4 & 4-3) and the cord finds most use in connecting fax/modems, etc.

When you say "conductors are suitably crossed" what does this mean? I'm looking for a cable to connect my modem to a telephone socket. Will this one work?

Asked by: Peter
This means it is wired for connection a modem to a telephone socket.

Can i get this cable in a longer length 5mtrs?

Asked by: Richard
Unfortunately this is the longest cable we do , We do have longer extension reels such as the.. Surge Protected Modem/Telephone Reel 10m code (A27FU) This would require a modem cable.

I have a BT Freestyle telephone with what I assume has a faulty cable as I have used the cable from my BT Graphite phone and it appears to work OK so I just want to know if the above mentioned phones are fitted with the R11 connection? Thank You.

Hi, I have just purchased a panasonic digital telephone answering machine and found that the telephone cable supplied is not long enough. A longer standard telephone cable will not work. Panasonic have told me to get a crossed modem cord and say that a telephone extension cable may not work. Do you think that the 3m modem lead (product code R275S) will work? Thanks Catherine
Asked by: Catherine Ellis
Yes the product does support that.
