which wires on the RJ45 cable does this adapter use?  I'm wondering if I could use one of these plus an RJ45 splitter to run phone + 10/100 Ethernet over a single Cat 5 drop.

Asked by: Giles
No, I am sorry but this will not be suitable, it uses all contact.

How do I know which to use?
Asked by: Russell Technical
Secondary Converts BT style plugs to structured wiring RJ45 plugs whilst also adjusting the signal impedance to conform to OFTEL standards. PABX master Performs the same functions as the Secondary adapter, whilst also featuring a bell capacitor to ring the bell on the telephone. This unit is for use on a PABX telephone system. PSTN master Performs all the above functions, whilst also features surge protection to disperse any electrical spikes. This unit may be used on a direct or incoming line.
