What special features does this FUZE Workstation have?
With a complete aluminium-body workstation for the Raspberry Pi, FUZE gives you access to all of the Raspberry Pi ports.

A new feature also allows you to connect analogue input devices to the Raspberry Pi models B+, Pi 2 model B and Pi 3 model B meaning you can use sensors in your projects.

What is FUZE?
FUZE is the ultimate accessory for putting your Raspberry Pi to good practical use. It acts as a docking station for the Raspberry Pi with all of the accessory ports available on the back panel. This allows for quick and easy accessibility to the LAN port, the USB, the SD card, the micro USB for power, the 3.5mm audio and HDMI to output high definition video content.

The FUZE workstation also incorporates a keyboard into its aluminium body, meaning you have no need to find a keyboard to connect to your Raspberry Pi.

The niche style of casing with integrated keyboard is designed in the style of the old computers from the 1980s but with all the modern connections. This includes HDMI to maximise the potential of your Raspberry Pi by connecting it to a HD TV screen, monitor or projector.

Why get FUZE for my Raspberry Pi board?
The FUZE enhances your Raspberry Pi experience and is purpose built for getting the most out of your board. All the connections to the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi are electrically protected, making it safer to connect devices to it. The Raspberry Pi by itself does not have any capacity for analogue inputs but the FUZE IO Board can accept four analogue inputs and one analogue output. This is essential for sensors which collect light, heat, movement and sound. These all make the FUZE great for building your own projects including features like motion detection and voice activation.

The Raspberry Pi boards have a number of components and connectors sticking out from its surface, which could potentially be broken if dropped or caught on something. Therefore placing the board inside a case like the FUZE keeps your board safe and prevents such accidents from happening.

The FUZE is built into an aluminium frame and is therefore a conductor, which further safeguards your Raspberry Pi against static electricity or being shorted out and being damaged as a result.

What comes with the bundle?
This bundle supplies you with the FUZE type II model for use with the Raspberry Pi B+, Pi 2 and Pi 3. The box includes a USB hub with four external USBs, a 2A power supply which lets you switch the Raspberry Pi off without unplugging cables, the FUZE IO board for analogue connectivity and an 840 socket solderless breadboard. It also comes with an 8GB SD card fully pre-configured and including FUZE BASIC, the printed programmer’s reference guide, a mouse for quick, easy navigation and a kit of electronic components including LEDs, switches and a display.

Raspberry Pi is not included. For books on how to get the most out of your Raspberry Pi, view our range here.
