How does the Tile Mate work?
Simply attach the Tile to your item, which can be anything from your keys, bag, wallet or purse to your TV remote. You can even use it to find your phone. If you lose your Tiled item, simply open the Tile app and press the ‘find’ button. This will then send a message to your Tile and, if it is in range, the tiny speakers will let out a loud melody that’s easy to hear – even under piles of laundry or from a few rooms away. If the Tile is not in range, you can open the map feature within the app and see where it was last spotted, or you can join forces with the Tile community and they can help to find it for you. All you need to do is select the ‘notify when found’ option and as soon as someone else running the app comes into range of your Tile, you will receive a notification with the exact location.

How can I use the Tile Mate to find my phone?
The Tile works both ways – so you can use the Tile to find your phone. Simply double press the button on your Tile and your phone will ring even if it’s on silent, as long as it’s within 30 metres. If your phone is not within 30 metres, finding it is still easy. Just log into the Tile website and from there you can see your phone’s last known location on a map, make the phone ring, or send a lock screen message to the device so that anyone who finds it can see it.

How is the Tile Mate maintenance free?
The Tile has been designed with a zero upkeep philosophy. It will run for a full year without any maintenance and requires no battery replacement or charging. When it is time for a new Tile, you will receive a notification about the reTile program. This allows you to easily replace your Tile for a fraction of the cost, and also means that you are constantly up-to-date with the latest technology.

What is the reTile program?
The reTile program allows you to upgrade your Tiles with maximum reliability and minimal hassle. When it’s time for a new Tile, you can upgrade to the latest technology and recycle your old Tiles in an environmentally friendly way. After you have ordered, you will receive your new Tiles along with a prepaid return envelope. Simply swap your old Tiles for the new ones and update them in the app, put your old Tiles in the envelope and return them. Tile will then recycle the old ones in an eco-friendly way. What about my privacy?
Tiles are only visible to the registered user, and they do not contain any personal identifiable information on them. If you mark something as lost, another user’s phone can find a Tile, however this information is relayed through the servers anonymously. The user cannot see the information that they have sent regarding your lost Tile.
