802.11ac - The Next Generation of WiFi
TP-LINK’s Archer T2U comes with the next generation Wi-Fi standard – 802.11ac, 3 times faster than wireless N speeds. With 433Mbps wireless speeds over the crystal clear 5GHz band or 150Mbps over the 2.4GHz band, the Archer T2U is the superior choice for seamless HD streaming, online gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks.

AC600 Wireless Speed
The 5GHz 433Mbps is perfect for HD video streaming and lag-free online gaming, while using 2.4GHz 150Mbps Wi-Fi for average use such as web surfing.

The Best of Both Bands
TP-LINK’s Archer T2U is a dual band USB Adapter that provides selectable 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands for the latest standard and backward compatibility to existing Wi-Fi network. It gives users the ability to access crystal clear 5GHz connections to upgrade their notebook or PC’s wireless capabilities, while ensuring that they can still access legacy 2.4GHz band wireless networks.

WPA / WPA2 Encryptions - Advanced Security
The T2U provides WPA/WPA2 encryptions created by the WI-FI Alliance, promoting interoperability and security for WLAN, which effectively and efficiently protects the wireless network.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited Value We have Virgin's 150mps high-speed internet at home, but with an older laptop, I only have 2G capability, so I bought this to add 5G connectivity, but what a disappointment. Operating 'Windows 10', (as we're all forced to do these days), installation was simple enough and it identified both channels, but streaming on 5G was intermittent at best and signal kept on being lost, so after a day of trying I stopped, unplugged the device and relegated it to my drawer full of electrical odds'n'ends that aren't used anymore. The theory is good, but in practice, perhaps I bought too cheap a version, as the true value of the item is nil, bearing in mind that it worked, then it didn't, then it got filed under 'Do Not Bother Using'. Buy with limited expectations, as if you figure on plugging, playing and flying, you might not get what you expect!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says on the tin! Decided to get rid of Ethernet interconnections because of noise on amateur radio equipment, and go over to wirelss links for internet etc. At the same time I was prepared to accept the slower speed of wirelss connections even using 5GHz band, compared with Ethernet. This unit on an old Gigabyte board with AMD processor works a treat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for money Bought this to breathe new life into my daughters laptop. Immediate difference in speed and for a reasonable price. Very easy to setup as it was pretty much plug and play. Overall a good purchase.

I have a Bluetooth speaker and want to use this device in the USB port of my car radio which is in my caravan to transmit output sound to the Bluetooth speaker. Will this work?

Asked by: Timbo
Sorry but this device would not work in that instance .. it is simply a Bluetooth adaptor for a PC or Mac The USB on your vehicle will be an input connector for USB pen drives or to connect a smartphone via USB to the car audio system.
