What SIM cards can I use with this device?
This TP-Link M5350 has a built-in 3G modem, which means you can have internet virtually anywhere you can get 3G reception. In other words you get a mobile Wi-Fi broadcasting device. Simply plug in a 3G SIM card at the back of the device and you can start sharing your connection to up to 10 users simultaneously. Compatible with HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS/EDGE/GRPS/GSMSIM cards, you can obtain up to 21.6Mbps download and 5.76Mbps upload speeds.

What other features are there?
An OLED screen helps to give you an intuitive view of the device’s working status. Such as signal strength, network type (2G/3G), Wi-Fi status, number of unread messages, internet connection status, battery level, speeds and traffic statistics. A microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB, gives you the ability to use the M5350 as an external USB memory stick when you plug it into the PC.

What do I need to set it up?
Now you don’t need to use a bulky USB modem in order to provide the internet connection to the device, simply insert a 3G SIM card to the back of the device. This will automatically create a 3G Wi-Fi hotspot you can use to share your connection on the move, wherever 3G coverage is available.

How easy is this to carry around?
The M5350 has a pocket sized design which will fit into most people’s palms. With 2000mAh internal battery you can use the device for six to seven hours, allowing you to work or play for hours on end. It can be recharged via a micro USB cable to a laptop, portable charge or mains adapter, for uninterrupted 3G sharing. This makes the M5350 the perfect travel companion to provide you with an internet connect while on the move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bullet-Proof Device I bought mine from Maplins 2 years ago and I'm still using it today. I use it everyday and I take it everywhere. It's never gone wrong, the battery life is brilliant for it's size and the connection is excellent. It's been my all round connection for over 2 years, I don't have a fixed line or contract. I just use PAYG and it's sorted me out, admittedly, I don't use it for heavy streaming but I don't need to usually. I've watched catchup TV on it in the middle of a field and that was fine. I am upgrading though but to the 4G version of this one. It's not often I can say something is really good and worth the money but this little thing is. I've dropped it many times on hard surfaces and only scratched it. I will be hanging on to it as backup. Just one more thing.....Range. It covers my semi-detached house in all rooms with little loss of power. I only wish it could accept a 4G SIM then I wouldn't need to buy the other one.
