Is this powerline kit right for me?
The kit contains everything that you’ll need in the box. This powerline kit is simple to use. Quickly plug the powerline adapters in, connect one to your router and the other to your networked device and then setup is complete. The kit will give you a transfer rate of up to 600Mbps between the two plugs. The single network plugs will allow you to connect your networked device, such as your laptop, desktop PC, games console, smart TV, networked hard drive or even your smart fridge, directly to your router and give you internet access

How could I use this powerline kit?
The kit is plug and play to make setup quick and simple. The kit is designed for one plug to connect directly to your network router while the other is connected to a networked device. It allows that device to connect directly to the internet without using long network cables. This powerline kit works seamlessly with all other TP-Link powerline products to allow you to create the perfect networking solution for you.

How does powerline work?
Powerline technology transfers data using the electrical wiring of the household. This allows for a single powerline plug to be connected directly to a router and plugged into a mains socket. This plug will then communicate to other plugs connected to the same electricity supply. This kit comes with a single powerline plug that connects to a router, and another plug that will connect to your networked device and allow it to communicate to your router over the mains. The powerline adapters will communicate with each other when connected directly to mains sockets that are on the same fuse board. Additional receivers, including receivers that give a wireless signal, are sold separately and can connect additional devices to your router. For best results, use any powerline receiver capable of sending up to 600Mbps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow - that was simple! This gave me a MUCH faster connection to my desktop at the far end of the house than I could get from WiFi. Cables included, trivial to set up. I found the advice in the instructions about plugging directly into the wall socket rather than through a cable extension did indeed give higher bandwidth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and good value Takes 2 minutes to set up. Plug-in and push the button on one then plug-in and push the button on the other. Done! To add a third device (which I did) push the button on either of the other 2 then plug-in and push the button on the new device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very surprising I was initially skeptical about these following a recommendation from a friend, I struggled to see how the power lines could be used for data transmission. With a little research and a vague understanding I took the plunge. Couldn't have made a better decision! If you can't get a router next to your desktop, I strongly recommend investing in a pair of these

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, easy setup They work well, but would not integrate with my existing 200Mb units, which I was expecting them to do, so set them up in parallel with my existing system using a separate Ethernet port on my router. Achieved what I bought them for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation I had real trouble with my wireless connection, but this item solved that it a few button presses on the plugs. These were recommended to me by a family member who had similar problems. Would highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dreadful! Unreliable and frustrating. This is my second make of home plugs, (the first were great, only failing after 6 years) and these are awful! One failed after a few weeks , the second has now become intermittent and has to be rebooted about five times a day by pulling it in and out of the wall. Unreliable and frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from did the job! spoke to assistant in shop who advised me on this product, as long as you have direct power source from A to B the internet wi-fi connects, but do make sure you are in line! my socket was downstairs, my tower socket was upstairs in bedroom above, approx 20ft away, good luck

If I have three of these, can I set up two PCs to the router and will the PCs work independly of each other and each maintain my 40mb speed?

I have heared these can often connect to neighbour networks and cause issues is there a way of encrypting the data to stop two neighbouring networks linking together?

Asked by: AntDav
This is not an issue I have ever had to deal with I could only advise talking to TP link.

I already have a pair of TP-Links. Can i buy one more to add to the network or do I have buy them in pairs. I also find that the speed via the TP-Link adapters is slower than the wifi. My smart TV buffers when connect via tplink

Asked by: MaxComputer
TP-Link should be much faster than Wi-Fi, make sure the units are connected directly to a wall socket and not in an extension gang, this can seriously impair performance. You can add single or double units to an existing pair, but you do need to follow the pairing procedure with any new units you introduce.

I use an existing tp-link model TP-PA211 currently used on a network. I am having difficulty pairing a new TL-PA4010 to replace a faulty link. Are the new ones compatible with the old? Are the new ones faulty? how should I proceed ?
