What can this access point do for me ?
The TP-Link TL-WA901ND allows you to create a high speed wireless N network with a 450Mbps data transfer rate for all of your Wi-Fi Devices.
The access point is adaptable with multiple operating modes, providing you with flexible ways of connecting to your network. Triple antenna using MIMO (Multi input Multi output) technology work to reduce interface and signal loss when multiple users are utilising the access point.

How can this access point be used?
Due to the multiple operating modes, the TL-WA901ND is flexible, and can be assigned different roles on your network. Client mode allows you to connect your wireless devices to a wired network, perfect for Wi-FI access on your tablets and mobile phones. Repeater mode allows you to extend an existing wireless signal to push your network signal further. Bridge mode brings wireless functionality to devices that lack Wi-Fi features, this makes a good accompaniment for games consoles or smart televisions. The TL-WA901ND can also be used with a WISP (wireless internet service provider) to provide internet access for devices connected to it.

How easy is the access point to set up?
The TP-link access point can be mains powered or powered passively via means of a Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector. With a maximum range of up to 30 meters (100ft) when running PoE, you can position the access point further away and maximise the efficiency and range of your wireless network. Once in position and connected to a router or network switch, you are able to discover your wireless access point from your portable device. Alternatively, the inclusion of a WPS button allows for quick pairing of devices.

hi, I have my Vodafone wifi router on one floor and CCTV box on another. The CCTV box can only be connected to internet via ethernet cable but I can't stretch the cable that far. Can I use this product as a Bridge, if so, how will it work?

Asked by: Samy1008
We wouldn't recommend a wireless bridge for CCTV signals, as Wi-Fi is not always stable or fast enough to effectively transmit the amount of data required. If you cannot use a single cable, we would recommend power-line adapters instead. These use the mains wiring to create a wired connection between two plugs, allowing for a faster and more stable connection, provided both sockets operate through the same fuse box. Something like the following should suffice for CCTV connection; https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/tp-link-4010pkit-av600-passthrough-powerline-starter-kit-a88wh

Hi, I am living in a duplex apartment. The Virgin modem is set up downstairs, however, the wireless doesn't work upstairs. They said I need to buy a wireless extension. Do I need to plug in something in the modem (downstairs) and about upstairs?

Asked by: Fabio
You can try one of the many Powerline kits we have to send the "Internet" through the cables hidden in the walls of your property. Such as the item below. Devolo dLAN 550 duo+ Pass-through Powerline Starter Kit Code: A84UZ

My caravan park has wifi but only allows one device. If I connect this to the park wifi can I connect multiple devices to this over wifi and or Ethernet?

Asked by: Carl
Sorry but this is unlikely. Typically the provider of the wireless service will have taken steps to ensure only single devices can connect to their service, it is unlikely you will be able to circumvent these measures.

Can I use a to link tl-sf1005d with this

Asked by: Just
Yes : Typically you would attach the network switch to the network cable/socket then attach this access point to one of the spare ports on the network switch.
