About this product

  • Operating voltage: 6-15VDC
  • Very piercing two-tone siren
  • Typical output 100dB at 30cm

Product overview

A very piercing two-tone siren housed in a very tough cream plastic housing. It is essentially the same as KU65V, except that two piezo elements have been incorporated into the larger case. As a result this unit offers an extremely high sound pressure level (105 dB at 1 m). Connection to the unit is by two colour-coded leads (red: +V; black: 0 V). Two mounting lugs spaced 97 mm apart are moulded into the case which allow the unit to be secured to a surface using M3 size screws.

Dimensions & Weight

I need a siren to act as a supplement for my door bell as I am hard of hearing. I had one at my previous house using 9v DC batteries. My present house has a 240v ac bell generating 8.5v AC . Can you suggest a suitable siren/bell I could easily attach?

Can it work with 18 volts input? Does it need a driver ??

No as this is over the voltage range - drive would be needed for the item.

I have a couple of quick questions:- - What are the dimensions of the twin siren ? - Is the twin siren water/heat proof (eg. within a car engine bay) ? The reason I cannot use a standard car alarm siren is that it's too large.
Asked by: Phil Ade
82mm x 52mmx 27.5mm It’s not heat/waterproof I’m afraid .
