Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great First Scanner Easy To Use Great scanner for first time users and experts alike, very easy to scan and save up to 300 freq (10 Banks of 30) making it easy to switch between freq. The one thing i will suggest is that you also buy the more powerful antenna (SKY SCAN MOBILE ANTENNA) Maplin Product Code QT33. The Scanner is very Clear! Very Happy with the product no faults, works well at home in the Uxbridge Area. Great Scanner for the price paid. Mani G Uxbridge (Greater London)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A very basic scanner aimed at beginners. I have been listening since the mid 70's & currently have around 10 that scanners I use regularly. These range from cheap & basic to expensive & aimed at the serious listener. The 360 is a very reasonable but also a very basic scanner that most users will out grow very quickly. How ever despite being cheap, it still has 8.33khz steps for airband, so for civil air enthusiasts, it makes a great & cheap option. A few pounds more buys a Uniden 125, which give Military Air & lots more beside.

Sorry the item does not support your intended usage. Maplin do not stock a scanner to allow you to listen to Police transmissions. The following web article may prove helpful https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrestrial_Trunked_Radio

How can I listen to "My favourite" MW stations on this radio as per your advert, as this radio lacks the 9khz steps required to do that in Europe. This is not an accurate description & actually misleads about the true reality.

Asked by: Alan M0LSX
I'm sorry you are not happy with description but I have checked all of this listing and the manual provided in the downloads tab and nowhere can I find any mention of MW. Page 7 of the user guide shows the full frequency range's along with the specifications on the website just below the main description.

My scanner is constantly transmitting when there's no convosations happing, so there is a fuzzing sound all the time. Any idea why? I thought it had broken so bought a new one (exactly the same) but the same is happening to this one.

Asked by: Klouise
This is a receiver only, It does not transmit .. The absence of a signal on the channel would normally leave just static or background hum.
