How powerful is this speaker?
The Pioneer S-DJ80X has 160W peak output which makes it a great choice for a small venue and will help create a fantastic atmosphere for your music event. Its compact 8 inch design allows the speaker to be positioned in a variety of places, such as next to a mixer or laptop.

What connections does this speaker come with?
The Pioneer S-DJ80X is fitted with a variety of inputs that allow it to be connected to a wide range of devices. This includes a 6.35mm (1¼ inch) jack and XLR socket which are common connections on mixers and microphones. Twin Phono (RCA) sockets are also included to connect many other items such as smart phones and MP3 players.

Does the speaker require an amplifier?
This speaker is an active speaker and has an amplifier built into it to power the speaker. This means that you can connect an item, such as a mixer, iPod or CD player directly to the speaker for it to play.

The speaker will also save you power with its auto standby function built in which automatically turns itself off if it does not detect an input signal for 25 minutes and powers the speaker back on when the input signal becomes active again.

What is the difference between RMS and peak output?
RMS, which measures a speaker’s average power output, will allow you to compare various speakers of a similar size regardless of brand. The peak output is the maximum power the speaker can handle from the amplifier.
