The da Vinci 1.0A is an affordable plug-n-play 3D printer with an impressive build size of 20 x 20 x 20 cm. Use your imagination to create replicas of famous landmarks, toys, landscapes, replacement parts for broken items or your own artistic creations. There really are no limits! Users have access to an open-source database of free 3D object designs to get you started.
How easy is this 3D printer to set up and use?
The da Vinci 1.0A comes ready-assembled and is ready to use straight out of the box. A 300 g ABS starter filament is included, whilst additional 600 g filaments can be purchased here. Both the ABS and PLA smart filaments are "chipped" cartridges, meaning that the 3D printer always knows how much filament is available before a print job is started.
What software is included?
The da Vinci 1.0A comes with a CD-ROM containing XYZware software which provides you with easy installation together with access to the gallery and XYZware website, so you can begin creating immediately. As well as XYZ's .3W file format, .STL and .3MF file types are also supported.
How easy is it to maintain?
The enclosed printing area protects the users from the high temperatures required to print as well as keeping the extruded plastics at a constant processing temperature. The da Vinci 1.0A comes pre-calibrated from the factory. A large number of tutorial videos covering maintenance and use of the printer are provided on the MaplinTV YouTube website.
