Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Probe Despite the moderator pointing out that the website clearly insists we purchase a probe, the box VERY CLEARLY states that a probe is included: The box has printed on it HPS140i — the all important 'i' denotes that a probe is included. As is explained in the writing at the bottom of the box. Ergo the probe is missing from the box!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The item as delivered had a scratch on the inside of the screen and a 'noisy' trace. I had to do what I hoped to avoid, go to my nearest Maplin and change it. The new one does the job OK. I did buy a Maplin probe as it is smaller than my existing ones but it is not as good, test square wave not as square!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality 'scope, Supplied with no probe, so don't expect to use it from the box. moderator note: this is clearly stated on the item description on this page "Requires a scope probe, Order Code AQ58 " No graticule, no 'realtime' display at audio frequencies, poor contrast on display. Over all - download a freebie scope program for your desk/lap top and use that. Much more effective, useful, satisfying and money saving.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from counter-intuitive scaling, fails to charge I got this to monitor TTL +-5 v triggers for a camera at 1 kHz, and found this device's interface extremely non-intuitive. It would have been helpful if it could at least show the instantaneous reading (say at 10 Hz so that the user could select the optimal scale. Also, the battery (a NiMH) does not hold the charge (after storage for a week) and requires to be plugged via USB at all times for the device to work. I ended up setting my values to 0.5 hz instead of the desired 1 kHz, and monitoring the voltages using a regular multimeter.
