Product overview

• Create a clap on and off switch
• Switch a lamp (not included) on or off with a clap
• Simple and fun to solder with 56 parts
• Requires a 12V DC power supply (not included)

What can I do with this clap switch?
Connect to a lamp (not included) or fan (not included) to this clap activated switch (manufacturer’s code MK139) and switch it on from anywhere in the room with a clap. The kit has two modes - a 1-clap on and off and a 2-clap on and off - with a default timer that turns the light off after approximately 5 hours. Perfect for use with lights in hard to reach areas that operate on 24V. With 56 parts, this is a great kit for those looking to move on to the next difficulty level.

What can I learn from this clap switch kit?
Practise soldering and learn about electronics and circuits with this electronic clap switch kit. It uses resistors, capacitors, a transistor, microchip, microphone and a relay, and will help you learn how to connect a circuit. This circuit contains many different components, and gives a great opportunity to see them all in action. The microphone changes output depending on the sound level. The kit contains terminals that connect to a device with a relay to switch on and off (max switching voltage 24V / 3A). This kit requires a soldering iron and solder and may require wire cutters.

How easy is this kit to solder?
Simple to solder, this kit is ideal for beginners learning about electronics or for those looking for a trigger to add to other projects. Putting the kit together is just the start of your adventure. An enclosure (not included) for the kit could protect the electronics and make sure the sensor, input or outputs are not blocked. This kit requires DC 12V 150mA power supply (not included) and comes with a power jack. This kit is not recommended for outdoor use.
