• Create a stroboscope for parties, models or simply to grab attention with two super bright white LEDs
• Set the flashing pace with the potentiometers
• A great introduction to soldering with 20 parts
• Requires a 9V battery (not included, Order Code L46AL)What can I make with this kit?
Create party effects or make a miniature warning light on a model with this stroboscope kit (manufacturer’s code MK147). Experiment with optics and see how it makes objects move slowly or even see a wheel appear to move backwards. This kit has two super bright LEDs that flash alternatively. Set the speed they flash at with the potentiometer on the board and just slide the switch to turn it on and off. With just 20 parts this is a great kit to start learning about electronics.
What can I learn with this kit?
Practise soldering and learn about electronics and circuits with this stroboscope kit which uses resistors, capacitors, transistors, LEDs and potentiometers (variable resistors). Learn how they are connected in a circuit and get practical experience soldering them. The circuit uses transistors to alternate which LED is on and a variable resistor to vary the time they are on for. This kit requires a soldering iron and solderand may require wire cutters.
How easy is this kit to solder?
Easy to solder, this kit is ideal for beginners learning about electronics. Creating the stroboscope is only the start. You could create an enclosure (not included) for it to protect the electronics or build it into a model. Just take care not to cover the LEDs and switch or obstruct access to the potentiometer if you want to be able to vary the strobe. This kit runs off a DC 9V power supply and comes with a holder for a 9V (PP3) battery (battery not included).
