Press set to choose a character then use the up and down keys to select characters and end with the < character. When you’ve chosen your message you can run it and the message scrolls to the left. Simply press standby to pause it and run to restart. Sized just 89mm x 67mm this kit can be fitted in almost anything. With 28 parts, it’s a great kit to help you push your skills to the next level.

Learn how the components are connected in a circuit and get practical experience soldering them. This kit combines circuit building with electronic component and basic programming to create your message. Use the integrated circuit (IC) chip or microchip to set the character shapes and the potentiometer to control your speed. The circuit has no memory and will reset every time it is switched off. This kit requires a soldering iron and solder and may require wire cutters and glue.

How easy is this kit to solder?
Simple to solder, this kit is great for those looking to progress beyond beginner projects. Have fun putting together your kit then you can expand on your project. You could create an enclosure (not included) for the circuit to protect the electronics or build it into a frame or display. This kit can run off a DC 8-12V power supply and comes with a holder for a 9V (PP3) battery (battery not included) and a DC power jack for a suitable power supply.
