Product overview

• Turn circuit diagrams into functional projects easily
• Mount dual-in-line integrated circuits and other components
• Transfer your breadboard layouts on to a permanent base
• Simple strip layout makes it easy to build complex circuits
• Copper pads are isolated from each other and can be cut to stop current flow
• Pads of 3 holes in a block, 21 blocks by 39, so track cutting is virtually eliminated
• SRBP base material is very easy to cut to the required size with simple tools
• 35 micron copper material can handle relatively large currents
• 100x160mm board size
• Hole pitch is 1.02mm

Ideal for development and prototyping work, Veroboard Tripad is designed primarily for hard wiring of discrete components, typically in analogue circuits, but is equally useful where a clusters of isolated components need to placed within the same board. Veroboard is manufactured from copper clad laminated board which has been pierced with a grid of holes and machined to provide Tripad solder points.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pitch issues The hole pitch is different horizontally and vertically but neither is 0.1", rather 2-2.3mm. It would have been nice if any of the description of this item would mention this. Due to the above, it is not compatible with any of the components I wanted to use it for. Maplin Moderator Note: After having this board checked we can confirm that the hole pitch is 0.1 inches (2.54mm) in matrix. If you have a defective unit or if you are simply not happy with it we will always offer a no quibble money back guarantee, please either pop into one of our stores or your can contact our customer services on 0333 400 9500 or email us at customercare@maplin.co.uk

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same problem with spacing Just bought this from the Derby sore, only to find this is not spaced correctly. No standard 0.1" component fits. I should have checked in store but trusted Maplin. Now I have to waste a journey to get it changed (as well as fuel). One unhappy shopper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent way of assembling DIL components compactly I bought two of these in Stockport today and, contrary to other reviews, they have the correct 0.1" x 0.1" pitch. Only four stars because the price is too high, especially considering they are selling the same think in Coleraine for £1.49 http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/tripad-board-jp52g

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tripad pitch issue Tried to use this with 24 Pin dip sockets. I had to drill the board to get it to fit(2 Hours). Went to store in Cork all the boards there are the same. Defeats the Purpose of the tripad board. Very disappointed Maplin quality is usually better than this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More on pitch issues Gary is correct, the pitch is wrong. I have used these in the past without problems, but I bought 2 recently and the pitch was as Gary says. I took them back to another shop which had another in stock. This was also wrong. Is there a dud batch of these?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pitch Issues I had the same problem. The pitch is different in the x & y and is slightly less that 2.54 mm approximately 2.4-2.5 mm so components don't fit. Buyer beware ! Double check in store. I got a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty / Incorrect Hole Pitch Item is stated to have a 2.54mm hole pitch, this is not correct, the pitch is smaller, as reviewed by another customer, and hence unuseable for IC or Pin headers etc with the standard 2.54mm pitch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong pitch This stuff isn't the correct pitch! Despite other reviews of 5 months ago pointing this problem out, 'faulty' product is still being supplied! You might be lucky if you buy this, but be prepared to return it. I'd suggest if your requirement is time-critical then buy something else.
