Chain wireless storage devices together and access content via desktop computers, wireless tablets and portable devices such as laptops and mobile phones using the My Cloud application.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Back up beware I bought this to back up video and sound files from sd cards in the field, and used it on professional jobs. At first it ran smoothly and did what it should until it not only failed to back up two cards at the end of a paid job but corrupted those cards and all the footage and sound on them making it impossible to import the footage using any other device or computer. Luckily, I'm paranoid and so I was recording back-up sound to an H1 and video to an external recorder. While it's true that this may be an isolated glitch, quite simply now it's happened once, I can't risk it happening again on a job so won't be using it again. A back up device that destroys the original seems to defeat the issue. Approach with caution.

How do you charge this item? Is it through USB cable, and if so can I use it in an apple charger unit? I don't have a laptop, just iPad.

Asked by: George
This will be from the included USB cable but this is designed to charge from a computers USB port so I would not advise charging from an apple charger.

Hi I want to back up my RAW files from 32gb SD card without having my laptop with me. 1. If this product works I guess I won't be able to view the images? 2. Is there a small monitor/phone etc I could use in conjunction with this?

On this occasion, Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.
