About this product

  • 75W RMS 150W Peak wide angle tweeter
  • Impedance- 4/8 ohm
  • No crossover required, piezo based so capacitively reject low frequency power

Product overview

• 75W RMS 150W Peak wide angle tweeter
• Impedance- 4/8 ohm• No crossover required, piezo based so capacitively reject low frequency power• Replace faulty DJ, PA tweeter components easily
• Rugged low-cost solution, made from strong ABS plastics
• 4-40KHz frequency range

Because modern amps can produce very high frequencies (typically up to 100kHz) it is recommended to wire a 47Ω 3W resistor (order code: W47R) in series with each tweeter to limit damaging high frequency resonance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brillant Tweeter This tweeter has made an excellent replacement in one of the speakers as I am a violinist the response of the high frequency sounds is important to me.

Would it replace the tweeter in the Maplin ProSound 10” loudspeaker, 150W continuous (RMS) output with 300W peak. Maplin at Carlisle said it would but just need to clarify bfore I wire it in.

Can you wire these tweeters in series (daisy chain) to increase the total wattage handling capacity. I need about 150-200w headroom (PA Poweramp is 150/w per channel (8 ohms).
Asked by: Leigh
Yes they can be wired is series to increase power rating.

would this horn work ok with a 350w pa speaker?
Asked by: lilchris
horn is 75W rms so should be OK with 350W overall power speaker system but it is still possible to overload horn if audio content above 4KHz is greater than 75W.
