Why is a wireless CCTV camera converter a good choice for me?
If you have an existing CCTV camera or just want to add an additional analogue CCTV camera, this wireless converter is the easiest way to add up to 100 metres between your camera and the DVR without the use of cables.

Can I use this with my analogue camera?
Thanks to the BNC connection on the converter all analogue cameras can be used with this device. Additionally the converter has an in-built microphone adding audio, as well as wireless connectivity, to the camera. The captured video and audio is then transmitted via the 2.4 GHz frequency. With four different channels to choose from you can avoid getting interference from other wireless analogue devices that may be transmitting at the same time.

How easy is it to set up?
Everything you need is included, providing you with an easy to setup wireless converter. All you need to do is attach the converter onto the camera, set up the receiver near your DVR and ensure that the camera and receiver are on the same channel. If you do want to connect the receiver to a DVR you will need a BNC plug to phono socket adapter (e.g. Order Code: FA11M), due to the output on the receiver being a phono socket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This wireless CCTV converter is much better than the more expensive model. Ok, it is not as secure. Ok, the signal is more tempremental. The device is incredibly easy to set up providing all the contents are present. I had to travel back to store because the fly lead that powers the transmitter was missing. All 3 of the boxes instore were missing the fly lead too. The staff called another store that checked theirs and they had the fly leads so I went there. The picture is good but very prone to interference. An important point I must make is that you must make sure that you install the wireless receiver on the same electrical installation as the transmitter or you get the rolling lines on the screen where the supply frequency is slightly out between the two. A phono to BNC adaptor is required if using a CCTV system that has BNC connetions. This is not supplied. Finally, the item differed considerably in appearance from that in the picture even though the catalogue code is identical. This did not bother me but thought I would mention it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing performance. Fitted inside mid-sized 1930's semi-detached house. Can just about see the picture through loads of interference. Makes no difference which of the 4 channels is used nor whether the wi-fi in the house is on or off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I beg to differ from Ronald. I can run the transmitter powered from the supply in my garden shed to transmit a signal to the receiver powered from the house. I coupled this with the camera code N08CX

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good at all If one partition wall inside a house is enough to mess up the signal of this device, then I do not understand why the description does not clearly say that there must be no barriers between the device and the camera for it to work. I am also having to buy several bnc adaptors to make this thing work. Think twice before buying.

Can I use this adaptor to connect a wireless camera to my Swann DVR-44550?

Asked by: Nb979
It's really going to depend on the type of camera, if it's an older standard analogue camera then it will work. However if it's a modern digital camera (720p or 1080p) then it's not going to work.

I have a swann 4 camera system can this converter be used on the 4 cameras or do I need separate transmitters. Or is there one that will do all 4 cameras

Asked by: Claire
You would need one for each camera and it would only be compatible with analogue camera systems.

I need 4 transmitters for my 4 cameras but when opening the app or viewing the cameras on the TV will I still have the same options for viewing ie 1 camera or 4 cameras at the same time

Asked by: Claire
As long as you are using purely analogue cameras and each pairing is set to a different channel then you should be able to keep the feeds separate, however using four in close proximity, even on different channels, has a risk of wireless interference.

On my N11CX RX I have a M/L switch What does this do? Also I have a 'reset' button, no markings? When should this be used? From time to time I get signal loss, after 1 hour or even 7 hours Any suggestions why?
