The Da Vinci Junior is one of the easiest 3D printers to start using, with a minimal amount of fuss involved and a maximum build size of 15cm x 15cm x 15cm. Build something creative, functional and personalised with the bundled software. With this 3D printer, you can replace a broken part or invent a gadget that makes your everyday life easier, amongst much more.
How easy is this 3D printer to set up and use?
The Da Vinci Junior comes fully assembled, so you can start printing in minutes. Simply plug your printer in and you are ready to build. A reel of natural PLA filament is included, whilst additional filaments can be purchased.
Please note: only the Da Vinci Junior PLA filaments are compatible with this printer. Third party PLA filaments are not compatible with this printer.
What software is included?
The Da Vinci Junior is supplied with XYZware to get you going. Both the standard .STL file format and the .G3D dremel file formats are supported. The internet contains a wide selection of premade examples which you can download and create as practices. While these are printing, you can also begin to craft your own masterpieces. There is also an Android and Apple compatible app available for download, which lets you download free 3D designs and wirelessly send them to the Da Vinci Junior.
How easy is it to maintain?
The enclosed printing area protects the users from the high temperature of the print nozzle. The Da Vinci Junior does not require any calibration, which makes setup quick and easy. If you suffer from print fails, also known as slipping, you can use a small amount of glue on the print platform to hold your build firmly during printing.
Where can I find 3D printing resources?
There are many websites, including 3D printer manufacturers, who have collated designs for users to download and print. Dremel, for example, have gathered hundreds of designs for objects you can download and print. Click here to visit the website.
