Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it - worse thing I ever did This system is billed as being a state of the art smartphone alarm; however it's far from it. Firstly, when it works, it's OK; however don't expect a picture to be sent from the PIR camera, unless the alarm's been going off for over 2 minutes - useless to see if it's a false alarm. Secondly, Yale has recently shown how unprofessional this alarm system is; along with their poor support. The Yale server stopped sending out any alerts for many days; they eventually tried to fix it, and managed to disable the smartphone functionality completely - it took them 6 days to get it working again; and even then, it (still) doesn't send any SMS text message alerts; all you get (certainly on an iPhone) is a useless completely silent push message; that you'll only see if you're sat staring at your phone. They also seem to have had to revert back to a database that looks at least 3 months old (if not a blank one), so would suggest that they don't even take any backups, yet alone have any form of DR for your personal security systems. What a piece of junk; I'm certainly going to be contacting Yale directly to ask for them to provide me with a refund after the year when they reopen (they are closed from 24/12 to 5/1 so there's nobody to fix the still outstanding issues of no text message alerts)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product What a great bit of technology. Easy to install and so intuitive to use, coupled with the smartphone app it allows remote diagnostic and control of all alarm functions. Only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.

Can anyone tell me how long the batteries last in the sensors, and do you get a warning when they are running low?

Asked by: mick
the batteries are designed to last up to 6 months, although this will vary based on activations, there is a audible alert from the main unit and an "in app" notification that the batteries need to be changed.
