• Remotely arm and disarm your system via your smartphone

Can I connect to my alarm with my smartphone?
The Yale Smart Home Alarm app gives you control of your alarm system from your smartphone. The app lets you know if your home is fully secured, which relieves stress or worry if you are away for long periods of time. You can check your home any time and from anywhere with the Yale Smart Home Alarm app. To add to the security, the PIR image camera sends you picture alerts and notifications if the alarm is triggered. The app can also turn your smartphone into a smart remote for your home appliances. Turn your appliances, such as lamps or radios, on and off remotely with the power switch, all via your smartphone.

What features does this kit have?
In addition to remote connectivity to your smartphone, this Yale kit is packed with other features to help keep your home secure. When a sensor or PIR image camera is triggered, a loud siren is set off to scare intruders and alert you and your neighbours. This Yale kit is expandable so you can tailor it to your home. You can add up to 20 devices, including up to six PIR image/video cameras. All components are self-contained and no wired connections are required between units, meaning you won’t damage any of your décor, have to lift carpet or run cables when installing. The ‘home arming’ mode allows the premises to be part armed so that no one can get inside without warning the occupier, while the person already inside the house can move freely without triggering the alarm.

Easy to set up and ready to go
This simple to install system has been designed with the user in mind. There is no need to wire into the mains supply or seek the services of a qualified electrician. The smart hub is powered by an adaptor and all other components are powered by battery, with all batteries included. All devices must be within 30 metres of the smart hub and must not be mounted on or near large metal objects. All accessories in the kit are already pre-learned to the system, making the setup and installation quick and easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I agree with Steve on the manual and also the App is not very helpful as there is no help file despite being a help 'button' only reporting firmware number. I had to work this out for myself what it all did as I kept getting a 'fault' light on the hub. It can mean battery dead or siren off line and so on. App log was again only generic information. I'm fairly good with computers after 20 years but I do wish apps had proper help files. Ok some do but Yale don't and the FAQ's on their website only gave generic information. Not specific to the model. Apart from that it all seems to working ok. We have added extra PIR'S and Camera's and they set up ok. Also the app communicates with the 'hub' ok. Sometimes a few seconds delay. Also notifies me of activity via my email. I set up 2 emails and mobile phone number. I can recommend this but beware you need to have some knowledge of these things.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fairly easy to set up. Manual very poor. No really useful information. Needs a serious rewrite. Product good. Manual awful!! All working ok but only because I have electronics and computer knowledge. Someone with no knowledge would be struggling.
